Welcome to Tuesday Throwdown #147. We also want to say a huge thanks to everyone who joined us and played along last week. It's never easy to choose the Top 3 for the week, and this week that was especially true since there were so many gorgeous Mother's Day submissions. We do love our Moms, don't we? We could only get it narrowed down to 5 this week, but that's OK since we had more than 50 entries and we were honoring Moms everywhere. But we did let Random.org pick the prize winner, which is so much easier. :-D Without further ado, here's our prize winner chosen via Random.org:
...and here are our Top 5 for the week, in numerical order:
#10 E.T.
#12 Chris F.
#13 Liz
#43 Jan R.
#44 Tracy MacDonald

Our May Guest Designer
Hello everyone. My name is Linda Simpson and I have been crafting (paper) for over 13 years now. Like a lot of crafters, I started crafting when I was a child, learning to knit and taught myself to cross stitch, embroider, and crochet. I have been blogging for just over 2 years now and have met so many lovely crafters from all over the world. I am delighted to be May's guest designer for Tuesday Throwdown. I hope you enjoy visiting my blog to see my creations for the challenges in May.

We also have a new DT member this week and we want to welcome and introduce you to
Gail Scott
My name is Gail Scott. I am married
to the love of my life, and the Christian leader of our home, Richard Alan. My first taste of card making was introduced
to me by my dear friend Susan in 2011 when she brought her metal embossing
plates and stylus to our Patch of Friends sewing group one evening. I never thought that introduction would lead
me to a purchase of a Cricut Machine & a Cuttlebug in July of 2012.
My blog, http://ilikepaper01.blogspot.com/, which was created at the end
of August in 2012, opened up a whole new world for me. I was amazed at all of
the opportunities available to enter my cards and projects in various
challenges, as well as to see firsthand all the levels of paper-crafting –
I am truly amazed.
These past seven months have
been a wonderful adventure for me in the world of crafting. Not only have I been introduced to various
crafting supplies and stretched to learn new techniques, I have met many
creative crafters from all over the world. In addition, I have been blessed by
the encouragement I have received from the positive postings to my blog from
the many visitors that stop by. Blogging in the crafting world is a very courteous
route to travel.
I am very blessed and honored
to join the Tuesday Throwdown team. Thank you very much for bringing me on
board. I am happy to be here.
We're excited to have you, Gail.
This week, our challenge is "Smell the Roses." Create a card or project with flowers - in the image, the papers, or added as embellishments.
Please note that entries which don't follow the theme will not count for the prize draw and may be removed.
You do not need to have a blog to participate. You could post to your favorite online gallery. As long as we have a link to your project, it's good to go.
Pink Cat Studio has generously provided the digi stamps for the team to use. Here are the samples made by our team to inspire you.
