INTRODUCING
The 3 New Additions to the Tuesday Throwdown DT:

I'm a Nana to 6 and a GreatNana to 2, spread all over the country.  I rattle around in a wonderful, old, Victorian house in Northern California.  I've been crafting and creating all my life including sewing or quilting, painting, poetry, scrapbooking, and jewelry.  However, the last 2 years have been focused on cardmaking and it's nearly an addiction.  I love rubber stamping, but the last few months, digis have all but taken over.  The world of blogging has given me such great resources for inspiration, and dozens of new friendships.  I feel blessed to wake up each day, knowing that something creative will touch my life, either from someone else or magically appearing in the creations molded from the scraps scattered on my  crafting table!   I do lots of cards for Operation Write Home, an organization that sends handmade, donated cards to our deployed troops so they can use them to write home to family and loved ones.  It's a small way to help support the troops.

Stephanie Lee
I am blessed to be married for almost 14 years to a man who is wonderfully tolerant of me and my paper and ink passion. We have two great kids – a son who is 5 and enjoys spending most of his  time with me; and a daughter who is 1 and enjoys spending most of her time with everyone else. They are the love of my life.

I am also originally from Singapore , emigrated to Australia with family in my teens and now to USA for work in Corporate America. My husband and I have been in the US for over 15 years. I discovered scrapbooking and card making 5 years ago when my son was born. He inspired me to start creating.

Creativity is now one of my little pieces of joy. For me, there is something liberating about experimenting with different materials to see what new and special things I can come up with. Since then, I have had some wonderful opportunities to earn a living papercrafting – selling my greeting cards through my own company, Arty Carty Handmade Cards. I am also a Copic Certified Designer and a Copic addict. I strongly encourage anyone who enjoys coloring with Copic markers to attend the certification program.

Yolanda Derstine
By day I am a senior editor for an international non-profit, but in the evenings I enjoy making cards…lots of cards. My goal in life is to honor God and encouraging others with handmade cards is one way I can do that. I am a Believer in Christ, wife, mom of three adult sons, grandma (coming soon!) and proud Army mom. I love to support our troops by making cards for Operation Write Home. Check it out at operationwritehome.org.

These three very talented ladies will be joining us beginning this week. Please help to give them a warm welcome!

Our sponsor this week is McMahon 5 Designs:
