Tuesday Throwdown #17

This week we have a special throwdown for you. We are celebrating OWH's birthday and DeeDee's Digis is sponsoring this week's challenge! That means in doing something great for OWH you are also entered to win a $10 gift certificate to spend at DeeDee's Digis shop!
Before we get to that, let's announce our winner from last week's challenge. You all did an amazing job with your entries! The winner via random.org is:

Congratulations Ladies. Grab your badge on the left sidebar to proudly display on your blog.
We would like to thank DeeDee for sponsoring this week's challenge. DeeDee's has generously given our DT digi images to use. DeeDee has a wonderful store chock full of adorable digi stamps to choose from.
Here's a bit of info on DeeDee's Digis:
Deedee's Digis began as a way to support my family through my husband's long-term unemployment. It has blossomed into a a means of spreading love, encouragement, and (hopefully) many smiles through paper-crafting. We offer an exclusive line of wholesome, hand-drawn digital 'stamps', and include greetings with every image, because we know how frustrating it can be to try to find just the "right" greeting after you've got your perfect image all colored up! We are a Christ-centered company, and you will find that many of our sets include KJV Scripture verses. We feel very blessed to be part of such a vastly talented community of crafters, and thank you for welcoming us onto the scene! Special thanks to the team here at Tuesday Throwdown for their hard work on this and every challenge, and for giving us this opportunity to share our products with you.

We would like to take this time to thank OWH for the awesome job they are doing to serve our military men and women and for allowing us to be a part of their celebration! As part of this celebration, this week for some fun we would like you to create a card using the distressing technique and mail your card to OWH.
Here's some important info about OWH:
Operation Write Home is an organization that sends blank handmade greeting cards for all occasions to deployed service members to write home on. They’ve mailed approximately 500,000 cards so far—and are still going strong! Our challenge to you is to make cards to send to them for our nation’s heroes.

Please read the basic guidelines here; it’s important especially to remember that glitter is NOT allowed (it’s a safety hazard to our heroes), handmade cards only, and OWH needs A2 sized cards. “Operation Write Home” needs to be on the backs of your cards—it can be stamped, handwritten, or printed on labels. Please include a packing slip inside your box or envelope, and mail them to any of their shippers listed on the Mailroom page. In your package, you can also include notes written to a deployed service member.

Let's have fun and see how many we can make to send to OWH. Here's some awesome inspiration from our DT.

Tuesday Throwdown #16

It's time for another throwdown! It was wonderful to see all the different takes on last week's ribbon with a twist challenge. This week we are offering up again a $50 gift certificate to CSN stores. We didn't have anyone claim the prize except for one but she wasn't able to use it. This prize is only good for US and Canadian residents. Please only enter if you live in the US or Canada. It is not redeemable in any other country.
Please check back to see if you've won, so you can claim your prize. We have set a time limit of two weeks to claim your prize. After that we will draw a new name. The winner of this challenge needs to claim your prize by Sept. 19th.

Now it is time to announce the winner and our top 3. The winner of last week's challenge is:
